Dome Outting (8.15.04 - 8.19.04) - See

My friends and I decided to head over to Yosemite and spend some time in
the great outdoors.
Bay
Area National Recreation Areas
I often take pictures of the signs of places I visit. Since many
of the National Recreation Areas have similar looking signs, I thought
it'd be cool to visit the sites on the
list and try and get a picture of them all.

Half
Moon Bay (2.19.06)
Since it was a nice day, my friends and I decided to head down to
Half Moon Bay to shoot some photos. We visited a nursery and the
tide pools.

Pescadero
(7.26.03)
Along Highway 1 is the Pigeon
Point Lighthouse. On my drive up from Santa Cruz, I saw the
lighthouse and decided to stop for a few photos. Somewhere in Half
Moon Bay, I saw a sign advertising fruits and "necatriens."

Stanford
(7.31.02)
I headed over to Stanford University for some night photography.
I was curious to see if the pictures would look better in black
& white, so here they are for comparison.

Hillsborough
(5.22.02)
Along the drive down 280 is the Father
Serra Garden & Rest Stop where a statue of the pointing
monk overlooks the Crystal Springs Reservoir. For years I've gone
by it in a car and one day, I just decided to stop and see what
was there. Apparently, this statue was a Stanford campus reject.

Hiking Mt. Tamalpais (9.1.03)
For Labor Day, I headed up to the sunny North Bay for a few miles
of hiking. Although we were supposed to take the 6-mile loop (Pantoll-Matt
Davis Trail- Coastal Trail-Willow Camp Fire Road-Dell Fire Road-Cataract
Trail-Old Mine Trail-Pantoll), we ended up cutting out part of it
and ended up doing around 4 or so miles.

Marin
Headlands (8.10.03)
I knew that the North Bay had some really amazing views, so I headed
up there on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Fort Cronkhite
While looking for the visitor center, we accidentally stumbled upon
this place and decided to stop for a few photos.

Point Bonita
A lighthouse that is still in use today. In order to get to the
base of the lighthouse, we had to hike about half a mile from the
entrance and also cross this really rickety old bridge.

Marin Headlands
Vista Points
Along the coastal drive in the headlands, there were some spots
to stop and catch some amazing views.

Napa Valley
(2.14.02)
So I finally made my first visit to Napa. Woohoo! Seems like Napa
is one big gigantic winery. It's beautiful there though with all
the open space and pretty hills. I visited the Niebaum-Coppola
Winery, and dined at Pairs
for lunch and then at Brix
for dinner.

North Bay
& Stinson Beach (10.13.01)
Since the weather was so nice this weekend, I headed up to the North
Bay to enjoy the scenery as well as have a nice drive. The first
stop was at the Muir Beach lookout point. If you looked towards
the water, you could see until forever. That was really nice. Next
was Stinson Beach, where I spent a lazy Saturday afternoon.

St.
Mary's College, Moraga (5.01.04)
St. Mary's
College has a beautiful campus. I suppose that's what you get when
you're a private school with only 2,000-3,000 students.

Sunnyvale
(8.26.02)
I played in a volleyball tournament over the weekend at Las Palmas
Park. During one of the breaks, I had some time to steal away and
take a couple of pictures.

Santa
Cruz (12.31.02 - 1.1.03)
For New Year's, I wanted to go some place a little different, so
I headed down to Santa Cruz. I stayed at the Darling House, a cozy
bed & breakfast that had a nice view of the Boardwalk and the
wharf area. At the stroke of midnight, I enjoyed a small fireworks
display at the clocktower downtown.

I went on a short roadtrip which totaled about 190 miles.
Carmel
(6.28.02)
Here are some pictures taken during a short visit there. In one
picture, there is a car that had crashed into a pole in the center
divide.

Other Cities
Sacramento
(3.15.02)
I made my first trip to Sacramento as a tourist. Now, I'd been there
before, but never stopped at the sites. I visited the Capital Building
as well as Old Town. After an afternoon of walking, I had dinner
at Bandera.
