Is there any etiquette while riding public transportation regarding reading material? I don't know what it is, but when I'm reading something, it bugs me when my neighbor turns their head and starts reading. It happens a lot when I'm reading a magazine. It even happens when I'm reading a book somtimes.

It's not that I don't like to share, but somehow I feel all self-conscious when that happens. Are they judging the material that I read? It's probably just me but I thought I'd air out my feeling on that.

For the first time in a long time, I actually felt a little restless at work. Usually, the pace of work is so quick that the day kinda just flies by. Today on the otherhand, I didn't have a bunch of deadlines. I'm not complaining one bit, because I'm enjoying the "slow" period right now. I'm sure things will ramp up soon enough.

I don't often remember my dreams, but while walking to work today, I remembered that I dreamt I smoked pot. Heh, weird. I've never smoked before so I wondered what it could possibly mean. I wonder if those dream books has anything on pot. Heehee.

So I'm going to visit one of my friends in Canada this weekend and when I asked him if there's anything that he would like me to bring, he said a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. He mentioned that they don't have any KKD in the area. In later emails, it somehow changed to TWO dozen donuts. When I asked him about it, he said something to the effect that he has a lot of people he wants to make happy.

That made me think of a recent episode of Fraiser. So Fraiser and his brother Niles found some really high quality caviar for really cheap. Then all of their friends would offer them favors to get their hands on the caviar (opera box, estate visit, etc.). I think my friend is trying to use these donuts to get on the good graces of his pals since the nearest KKD is on the other side of the country.

All I know that it'll be WAY hard to bring 2 dozen donuts onto an airplane and not want to eat them during the flight. I mean, what if I get hungry? What if somebody offers me money for one? What if somebody steals one while I'm sleeping? I better guard them closely.

Son of a #$*@(!*!#. I was writing a check and after I tore the check out of my book, I got a "paper" cut from the back cover of the checkbook. Grrrr... I guess it's just one of those things.

So I went clubbing for the first time in a long time yesterday. I actually had fun although I felt detached from the main crowd. I guess after a while, you grow out of the clubbing phase. Somehow, I felt older than most of those people there although agewise, I'm sure I'm somewhere in the middle.

Then what really surprised me was how short so many of them were. Sure, I wore my 1.5 inch heel boots but golly, on the dance floor, I could see the tops of people's heads (girls & guys included). I ACTUALLY felt kinda tall for once. BTW, I'm at the tree-like height of 5'5". Isn't that funny?
