I organized another little outting to the climbing gym yesterday and had a fun time. Although I spent most of it teaching people the ropes (heehee), I got in a few climbs of my own: 5.7, 5.9, 10a, 10c. It's fun to watch people who haven't climbed much or at all to tackle the wall and make it to the top. Woohoo!

On a more blah note, today was like double coupon day, except for parking tickets. So after climbing yesterday, we went to eat dinner. Parking near the restaurant has always been a challenge, so I suggested we carpool there. I decided to park in the nearby Safeway parking lot, because my friends had done that before and nothing happened.

Well, after dinner, we got back to the car and my car was still there. *whew* it wasn't towed. I drove home and parked in a somewhat small space on my block. I knew that I was crossing the curb cut a bit, but I figured as long as the residents could still make it onto their driveway, everything was cool. People block our driveway all the time and it just makes it harder for us to swing in.

Anyways, this morning, I saw a space closer to my place, so I decided to try and get it. When I got to my car, I found 2 lovely surprises: 1) a $75 ticket for passing the curb cut by 10%; which was called in by the person living in that house (THE BASTARDS!!) and 2) a $50 ticket for parking longer than 1.5 hours at the Safeway from the night before (SON OF A....) What a great way to start off a Saturday. On the bright side, if I pay the Safeway ticket within 7 days, I get 50% off. Hooray!

I just wanted to send a congratulations to a certain friend of mine who I've known since high school. Woohoo!! You're finally engaged!! May you have many happy years together and all that good stuff.

I think he knew she would be the girl he'd want to be with very soon after they got together. Every time I saw them together, it was one of those cute-sy couples. You know, the ones that make you sick from all the sweetness. It was also kinda neat that he started to dress better as she made a few additions to his wardrobe; the hair, the clothes, even a non-calculator watch!!

All the best to you and your fiance!!

It's so cool that the week is already half over although it doesn't feel like it. Woohoo!

Every day when I make my walk to and from the train station, I see people waiting by various bus stops. I noticed that there is always this exact amount of space between each and every person in line. From where I'm looking, it seems like there's about an 18" space between one person and the next, almost as though somebody arranged them that way. They are also always facing the street. I don't know why this amuses me, but it does. I suppose it's just that you can almost see this invisible bubble that resembles personal space. Yeah, I take note of the strangest things.

Woohoo! We've managed to keep an undefeated record in my social vball league. Hehe. Yay us!

I don't know when it happened, but recently, my knee has been feeling so much better. Is it all the Jamba Juice with performance boost that contains the magical glucosamine? I don't know if that stuff really works, but perhaps the placebo affect is in full force. I know that a few doses of the stuff isn't going to magically heal my bum knees, so I'm going to credit my good fortune to 4 months of positive thinking and 1 month of knee exercises given to me from my doctor.

I'm relieved because I've got 3 tournaments to play this month. Yeah, I know I'm supposed to rest with my knees kinda achy, but I can't help myself. I just really want to play outdoor before the summer is over and also wanted to play in the twice a year Vegas tournament. This time I won't overdo it.

Think happy thoughts...

Yay, I had a nice hike up in Mt. Tamalpais today. I think we hiked around 4-5 miles although under the hot blazing sun, it felt much longer. Yay me! Yeah, I'm not much for aerobic exercise, and with the pace my friend was setting, we probably could've been jogging! Overall a nice day, especially with us stopping for Slurpees on the way back!

I love long weekends. They're so great.

Boy was I the sloth today. My friend and I decided to do a chick flick marathon today. So basically, all I did was stuff my face and watch dvds. Hehe. Not very productive. I probably gained a few pounds from being a sack of potatoes.

If you can stand it, here's the list of the 5 movies we watched:
1) Down to You
2) Kissing Jessica Stein
3) The Wedding Planner
4) While You Were Sleeping
5) Legally Blonde

I'd say it was a pretty random assortment of movies with a variety of actors. Although I didn't do much, I'm glad for the lazy day since I'm usually out and about doing something.

Tomorrow will be a productive day as I'll be going on a hike. Yeah, I can't seem to sit still for too long huh? After all, life is here for us to live it. Why would I want to sit around all day and watch it go by? See. Enjoy. Explore.
