Jim's Birthday Festivities (9.16.05 & 9.17.05)
For Jim's birthday, a group of us headed out to Patxi's in Palo Alto for some yummy Chicago-style pizza. Afterwards, we headed to Prolific Oven for some birthday cake. The next day, a bunch of folks gathered for a surprise treasure hunt in Union Square and a barbecue in Sutro Heights park. Of course, no birthday is complete without somebody accepting the challenge of eating the last slice of cake for the five dollars. Oh yeah, no utensils allowed.

August 2005

Harvey's Surprise Buca (8.26.05)
So my friend Cindy threw a surprise dinner at Buca di Beppo for her bf Harvey. I think he was suspicious, but you're never really sure until you're there. It's funny how all Bucas kinda look the same on the inside.

Tony & Henry's GGP Birthday (8.6.05)
A bunch of folks came out to the cloudy and cold Golden Gate Park to celebrate Tony & Henry's birthdays. There was food, cakes, and tiaras.

Vivian's Birthday BBQ (7.24.05)
Jeff & Zhendi hosted a bbq for Vivian's birthday. The highlights were bacon-wrapped asparagus and the gallon ice cream challenge.

Blackjack BBQ Classic (7.16.05)
Jim and I decided to organize a for-fun blackjack tournament. There was a ton of food and the event was a ton of fun. In the end, Gillian, who was knocked out during round 1, was drawn as a wildcard player into the finals and won all. Photos taken by whoever grabbed my camera during the event to take pictures.

Melissa & Phil's Wedding (7.15.05)

Mel's Bridal Shower (7.10.05)
For my friend Mel, a group of us girls + Elbert got together and went to a nail salon, went shopping, had afternoon tea/lunch, and dinner at La Fondue.

Holiday in Seattle (7.1.05 - 7.5.05)
I spent the 4th of July weekend up in Seattle hanging out and enjoying actual sunny weather.
