Since I had never been to Europe, I decided to plan a trip and go. I had a 1-day stopover in Paris, so I did a quick walkaround of the city. Portugal had a bunch of historical sites to visit and a lot of egg tarts for me to eat.

Since I had never been boarding at Whistler before, I got together with a bunch of people and we headed up there. On that trip, I also got to visit my friend in Vancouver as well as spend a few hours in Seattle.

I went on a cruise for the second time in my life right after Thanksgiving. This time, I hopped aboard The Carnival Elation for a 7-day cruise down the Mexican Riviera.

Toronto, Canada (August 1998)
After coming back from Hong Kong in May, Carrie & I decided to visit Rafael. We spent about 10 days exploring Toronto and outlying areas. I finally saw the amazing Niagara Falls as well as went up the CN Tower. We also made a short trip around York University, which is where Rafael earned is undergrad degree.
