"The sun and moon are eternal voyagers. The years that come and go are travelers too. For those whose lives float away on boats, for those who greet life clasping the lead ropes of horses, travel is life, travel is home."

Beautiful British Columbia
(3.28.03 - 4.02.03)
I made another trip up to Vancouver and Whistler over this 5 day weekend. It was filled with a lot of eating, boarding, game playing and shopping.

Day 1 (3.28.03)

The Palisades
We arrived at night and settled in to our room at the Pacific Palisades. Some of us settled in quite comfortably.

Day 2 (3.29.03)

Vancouver Aquarium
We visited the Vancouver Aquarium where we saw a beluga whale and other interesting animals. I found the sea otters that were holding hands pretty cute, and the frogs having a seance a bit freaky. Some people were amusing themselves in the gift shop.

Granville Island
On our trip to Granville Island, we snacked on some yummy smoked salmon along with other random marketplace foods.

Raf's Place
I wanted to get a feel for how Canada living was like, so I got to visit Raf's studio apartment. Pretty cute place I would say.

Fresh Oysters off the Boat
Since Vancouver is right at the water, we figured that there would be some good seafood. We went to a dock/pier where fisherman sell fresh seafood right off their boats! We got a great deal on oysters.

Day 3 (3.30.03)

Bad Weather Boarding
On the two days that we boarded, the weather was not so kind to us. Although my fingers were freezing, I managed to snap a few photos.

Mongolie-Size It!
We had dinner at the Mongolie Grill. You grab a plate, fill it up with stuff, hand it to the chef and they cook it right there. They also charged by how heavy your pickings were.

The Village
Here are some random pictures taken around the village. Apparently, Cows is some sort of ice cream chain. Our Lincoln Navigator was so tall that the rack almost touched the pipes in the garage.

Day 4 (3.31.03)

It's the Cheesiest
We had dinner pretty late one evening and the only place open was Tex Coreleone's. It was a pretty cool place to eat and because they messed up on our pizza order, we ended up taking back one whole pizza.

Got Cheese?

Day 5 (4.01.03)

The Sunpath
Here are photos taken from the condo that we rented.

Day 6 (4.02.03)

View above the Clouds
Since I got a window seat, I was able to snap a photo of the pretty sunset.
