Kirkwood
Resort (4.4.02)
I finally got my camera back and decided to bring it up on the mountain
so I could take some pictures. Sometimes when you're boarding, you
just ride the lift and ride down without really stopping to admire
the view. Well, not only did I admire the beautiful mountains, but
I also took some photos. Post-boarding activity included a burger
at Snowflake Drive-In, some place in South Lake Tahoe.

Kirkwood
Resort, Lake Tahoe (2000 - 2001 Season)
Here
I am with some friends of mine. These are the guys I owe a lot to
because they were extrememly patient with my slow pace going down
the greens. Eventually, they pushed me on to the blues and then
to my first black diamond as well as my first jumps. The boarders
are: Howard, Jeff, Alex, & Mike. The lone skier is Eric. He's
baled me out a few times by towing me with his ski pole. Since Howard
took most of the pictures, one of the only still photos of him is
a self portrait of his goggles!

Whistler / Blackcomb, Vancouver (Mar 2001)
- Read about
this trip
Boarding up in Canada was a lot more challenging
than up in Tahoe. I must say that boarding from the summit to the
bottom takes an incredibly long time. We spent 1 day boarding on
the Whistler Mountain, and 1 day boarding on the Blackcomb Mountain.
The weather was much better when we boarded on Blackcomb, so I am
going to say that it was a much better experience. After managing
Whistler, going back to Kirkwood seemed like a piece of cake. Since
I don't want to make this too long, I'm just going to mention that
I went up to Canada with Gordon, Alex, Grace, Howard, and Mike to
visit my friends Rafael and Collin.

Photo (Mar 2001)
I had to take the BART up to the Pleasant Hill station to meet one
of my friends for a ride and while I was waiting, I saw snow on
the mountain!! It is a fairly rare occurence to see snow in the
Bay Area, so I had to take a picture.
